Ik heb nooit geschreven dat er iets mis mee was. Er zat alleen teveel werk aan om haar weer netjes te krijgen. Hij is er ook nog niet hoor als ik z`n blog zo lees. Pfff, puist werk nog te verzetten. Alleen al die electra..

Oh, nee... ik bedoelde ook niet dat jij had gezegd dat.... Alleen heb ik een aantal mensen gehoord die er niet aan durfden gezien de prijs. 'Dan zal er wel iets mis mee zijn' was een regelmatig gehoorde opmerking. En als je dan de blog leest en ziet dat zo'n Pentaatje gewoon aanslaat na vijf jaar stil staan... ach, dat vind ik dan wel grappig om te lezen. Torretje loopt, zeilen zijn aanwezig dus er kan gevaren worden toch...

Sorry for writing in english. Although I'm able to understand quite a lot of your writings my dutch is not very good.

As someone already wrote: I bought that Contest 33 in late January and already did a lot of work on her to fix her up.

We had her out of the water in April (YAGRA-Boatyard, Hellevoetsluis) and - of course - found a lot of osmosis. But it's nothing that can't be fixed. We opened and filled some holes in the botton, painted new antifouling and put her back to water.

It took us five days to get to Lauwersoog by taking the staande-mast-route. It was my first time sailing though the netherlands and I must admit: I've never seen a country more beautiful! All the water and channels ... It was wonderful! I'll definitely come back one day

From Lauwersoog I sailed her singlehanded and nonstop to the Kiel-Channel and from there to the baltic sea. Now she's berthed in the Schlei-Fjord, near Kappeln.

The 400-miles-trip to Germany was a hard test for boat and Engine (60 hours of motoring after more than 5 years neglected in the water ...) - it was unbelievable that nothing broke and that the engine caused no trouble.

Now I'm going to sail her through the summer and then start a major refit next winter. It is still a lot to do. First of all I have to take care of the osmosis and a hole in the keel from a ramming of the previous owner. Then I'll do the electronics, do a new paintjob and new standing rigging. It's going to cost me a fortune and will time to save the money, but the boat is definitely worth it. I'm 24-years old and so I still have a lot of time for the work

My plan is to sail her around the world someday. I already sailed singlehanded across the atlantic in 2005 when I was nineteen. By that time I owned an old Fellowship 27 which I sold in the USA after the voyage, because she was too old and two weak after 7.000 miles, wasn't able to sail around the rest of the world as well.. So my plan is to do it with the contest

M... ik vind die foto's nog meevallen qua sneeuwval. Hier om het huis ligt zo'n 25 cm.

In Loosdrecht was er ook een flink pak gevallen.Was deze week er naar toe gereden om een verwarming te plaatsen en heb ze gelijk goed uitgeprobeerd. Ik kreeg toch zonder probleem een dikke 25 graden binnen. Mijn motortje had ik de woensdag eraf gehaald om na te kijken en vond hem de dag daarna haast niet meer terug op het karretje. Was best leuk daar.

Op de onze in Friesland zal wel niet zo veel sneeuw liggen, op deze wel haha

4 dagen geleden is er in Workum een pak sneeuw gevallen van wel 1 cm. Daar is nog een halve cm van over. De kou valt ook wel mee, afgelopen nacht was het met -3,5 warmer dan overdag. Dus een mooie sneeuwfoto is hier niet te maken in tegenstelling tot afgelopen winter.

Op de ijsbaan volop maar in vaarwater nog niet betrouwbaar. Op de Burevaart 2 schaatssporen door het dunne laagje sneeuw, ook heeft een kat het gewaagd. Onder de brug ligt het wel dicht maar is lang open geweest. Het is niet zo koud geweest als de "weerdeskundigen" voorspeld hebben ook al vriest het.

Ik merkte vanochtend vroeg, toen ik de grendel van de poort in de schutting opende, dat mijn vingers die een beetje nat waren van de sneeuw, aan de grendel vastplakten/vroren. Dus het ideale weer om aan de brugleuning te gaan likken (hier vroor het vannacht maar een graad of 10).

ik had afgelopen zaterdag een paar moertjes aan de brugvleugel vastgeplakt. Lekker met de knietjes in de sneeuw want de naamborden moesten er nog af.

27cm sneeuw in Zeeland.

Toch mijn motor gevonden.

Mag bootje op schip in de sneeuw ook?

Als dat geen Splietfhof is...
